Yes. Here are the default maximum video specs accepted by the Hoodem deepfake video creation tool :

  • Video to be deepfaked : 300MB / 2 minutes length.

As an additional technical information, all the Hoodem deepfake videos created are in 720p quality rendered at 25 fps (Frame per seconds). Therefor, we recommend you to upload your videos using these standards for optimal final quality rendering of your deefpake video.

By definition of the deep learning technology (=used to create deepfake videos), it is not possible to create a good quality deepfake video if several different people’s faces are present in the video to be deepfaked. The reason being that if there are several different people’s faces visible in the video to be deepfaked, the Hoodem AI based face detection product won’t know which face is the correct one to deepfake and will therefor deepfake all of the visible faces of the video with an average quality of rendering since most likely all the faces to deepfake will be different ones (which is why you can get very good results by simultaneously deepfaking twins on one video for example).
If your video to deepfake displays several different faces, we recommend you to hide the faces to not deepfake before uploading the video for optimal result.

To create any deepfake video, simply follow the simple steps on the Hoodem deepfake creation tool.

It is very simple to take a screenshot of your computer screen or a part of it. Here is how :

  • On a Mac : Press the keys “Shift”, “Command” and “4” simultaneously, then move the crosshair pointer to where you want to start the screenshot. Once taken, the screenshot should appear on your computer’s desktop. Click here to access the official Apple documentation about it.
  • On Windows : Search and open the application named “Snipping tool”. By using it, you will be able to take a screenshot (or “Snip”) of any part of your screen. It is very simple to take a screenshot of your phone screen. Here is how :

  • On an iphone : Click simultaneously on the SIDE BUTTON and the VOLUME button. Then, your screenshot will be available in your phone’s images. Click here to access the official Apple documentation about it.

  • On any other phone : It usually is as simple as clicking on the power button and the volume button simultaneously. If after doing it, the screenshot doesn’t appear in your phone’s images, we recommend you to look for your phone documentation by typing in Google : “Model of your phone + take screenshot”. Ethic and privacy

There are 2 ways to identify if a video is a deepfake one made with the Hoodem deepfake creation tool : Hoodem made deepfake videos all have the Hoodem privacy safety logo animation played as their introduction. This is called the Hoodem pre-roll :



Also, a slightly transparent Hoodem logo is continuously displayed scrolling in the middle of the video while playing as well as static Hoodem logo at its bottom center. That way, this audience is aware that the video they are watching is a video montage and non-original content which only purpose is to entertain, and not to appear original and non-fake:

No. The very important reason why the Hoodem logo must be visible on a Hoodem made deepfake video is to keep the Hoodem deepfake video’s purpose to entertainement only. The presence of this Hoodem logo in the middle of the video is the proof that the video is a deepfake one so that it cannot be used to manipulate or trick its viewers by appearing as an original video content.

The Hoodem team can access a user’s Hoodem made deepfake videos hosted on secured servers but only after receiving this user’s written authorisation only (ex: To fix an unwanted issue, once again, on the user’s request only). The Hoodem made deepfake video creation is 100% automated and the videos the users are uploading to create the user’s Hoodem deepfake video results are immediately deleted after successful creation of the Hoodem video result. We respect everyone’s privacy.

If you do not connect to your Hoodem account for more than 1 year, all your Hoodem videos will be deleted from your account.

Absolutely, as long as they are respecting the video size limits mentioned above. Please also note that the Hoodem deepfake video result will be re-encoded in 720p. and 25 fps (Frame per seconds).

Yes, but it has limitation. It is possible to transfer a face from a colored subject photo to a black and white video to be deepfaked. Ex :
